Jesus Christ God and man

St Clare Basilica

Basilica and Monastery of Saint Clare

A journey with Saint Francis of Assisi, following in the footsteps of Mary the Mother of God; a journey which takes us from the stable in Bethlehem to the foot of the Cross, uniting us ever more closely to Mary's Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Included is the Christmas themed homily about Amelia (given at Greccio in the Rieti Valley where Saint Francis made the first Christmas Crib by reproducing the scene of the stable of Bethlehem) and how the experience of holding a tiny helpless baby is a reminder to us that when our almighty, all powerful God first appeared to us on this earth it was not as a powerful warrior or wealthy king or political leader as many expected, but rather it was as a tiny helpless baby, a reminder to us that we do not need to be afraid of God when we turn to God with a humble and sorrowful heart.
